From the beautifully restored historic halls of state government to the current office of Connecticut’s Kid Governor, Connecticut’s Old State House features fascinating exhibits and programs for all ages that focus on history civics and government.

Parking
Parking at State House Square Parking Garage, located at 55 Market Street is $5 with validation from Connecticut’s Old State House. Metered street parking is available. Free on-street parking is available after 6 pm and on weekends. Please follow posted parking instructions.

Our Doors Are Open
Connecticut’s Old State House is committed to ensuring all visitors have access to this historic site. The building is mobility friendly with elevator access to all floors and accessible bathrooms on the ground floor. If you wish to inquire about special accommodations or arranging a group tour or special event, please call (860) 240-5340.

Discount Information

Admits Free 4 People of Any Age. Valid for general admission during regular operating hours only. Not valid for Group Tour Admission (adult or school) or special events. 

Booking a Museum Pass

Please have your library card bar code ready. If you do not have this information available, call the library at (860) 668-3896 for assistance.

This pass is available for pickup starting the first day it is reserved. Passes are not available prior to their reservation date.
